Eight-year-old Asher, who I might describe as barrel-chested, says to me at breakfast yesterday…
“Mom, you know the two rules…
“One says that you shouldn’t keep eating after you’re full ’cause you might stretch out your belly and get fat.
“The other one says that if you pour your own cereal you should eat it all so you don’t waste food.
“Well… I’m not sure which one applies right now.”
Sure do love our sweet, thoughtful, conscientious firstborn. (He’s shown here with Bacon, the porcine prize he brought home from the pig scramble at this year’s StreetFest event in nearby Hysham.)
(And just like that we were Pig People.)
